Otto hat gestern beim Web 2.0 Kongress in Offenbach erstmals seine eShopping 2.0 Initiative vorgestellt. Allzu viel ist nicht überliefert.

"Most used word at the presentation: "long tail". It took Otto more than two years of internal discussions to decide on whether or not to allow users to submit product ratings to the shopping site.
They made a first test three months ago and were very afraid of negative feedback. However, most user ratings turned out to be quite positive, contrary to what many people at Otto had anticipated.
Another subject of the presentation is "blogging at Otto" as they are preparing the launch of an integrated blog service on their platform."
